The Micro, MEMS & NANO Manufacturing Event

Advancing Manufacturing Innovation Through Micro, Nano and MEMS Technologies
Whilst Micro, Nano and MEMS technologies have already made a significant impact on the manufacturing landscape through their ability to offer new and innovative products that have significantly enhanced performance, there remains a wealth of innovative potential for manufacturers to exploit. Focusing on the technologies that will ultimately change the way manufacturers operate, MM LIVE, together with MEMS LIVE and NANO LIVE, stages the UK's largest annual showcase from this truly innovation enabling technology sector. Over 100 exhibiting companies aim to bring you the most innovative and dynamic technologies available on the market. Exhibits cover the full spectrum of technologies from laser micro machining through to assembly, inspection and test equipment.

Learn from the Experts: Free-to-attend, the Micro Manufacturing Conference programme is packed full of the very latest developments, trends and application based case studies presented by many of the industry's leading figures. From fundamental process developments through to the latest technological advances for next generation products, the programmes are designed to inform visitors new to the technologies, through to the most advanced practitioners. Speakers include: Svetan Ratchev, University of Nottingham; Adriano Nascuiti, G F Agie Charmilles; Stefan Dimov, University of Birmingham; Dr Martin Sharp, AILU; Andrew Ramsey, Nikon; to name a few.

In association with JEMI, Nanotechnology KTN and MANCEF this two day conference programme will explore a full range of technical seminars and workshops under the main theme of Advances in MEMS and NANO Processes for Electronics, Industrial and Biomedical applications. Nano technology and MEMS often work together and bridge many other areas of technology as a key enabler. In both areas the UK has global leadership and significant employment and wealth has been created as a result. The UK industry is represented by strong trade bodies who are actively networking to build supply chains and collaborative relationships to secure high growth. The MEMS and NANO Live Seminar programme is being created to support these goals. Speakers already confirmed include: Freescale Semiconductor, Nanotechnology KTN, Kelvin Nanotechnology, University of Birmingham and Teer Coatings with many more names to be announced soon.

Running alongside MM, MEMS & NANO Live will be Mediplas and TCT Live. Mediplas is a newly launched uniquely focused event for the highly specialised area of manufacturing plastic parts for the medical industry. TCT Live is the event for product development, additive manufacturing and 3D Printing — these events combined with the PPMA Show and the Sensing Technology Show make up one of the largest gatherings of engineering professionals in the UK in 2012.
