Honouring pioneers with the AILU Award
This award is made annually tp recpgnise the individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the industrial use of laser in the UK. The AILU is presented to an individual for significant contribution to laser materials processing and that preferably has wider benefit fpr the industrial laser user community
To encourage UK´s young Engineers AILU present the YOUNG UK LASER ENGINEER´S PRIZE
This award is designed to help encourage young people in the UK to develop their interests in laser applications. The prize is awarded to an individual for a significant piece of work, conducted in the UK, which has led to real or potential economic gain for the parent organisation and that preferably has a wider benefit for the industrial laser user community.
The 2010 AILU Award and the 2010 AILU Young Engineer’s Prize will both be presented at the Annual General Meeting on the early evening of 10 June 2010 at the NEC, Birmingham.
Applications may be made by AILU Members Monday 15th March 2010
