The MTC is hosting Laser Matters on 14 September, where some of the latest cutting edge laser processing capabilities will be showcased. This includes an industrial scale 5-axis laser texturing machine, the UK’s first commissioned blue wavelength laser for electrification applications, a state-of-the-art waterjet guided laser machine unique to the UK, and a powerful 300W pico-second laser for machining of challenging materials, amongst others. With over 30 experienced engineers and technicians and state-of-the-art facilities, the MTC is a leading laser R&D centre in the UK and is actively working with partner organisations across the country to address the challenges for technology adoption by the industry. The event will feature live technology demonstrations where delegates will get to see all this equipment, and more, in action.
