Conference Scope

From lab to production hall at the speed of light: Knowledge transfer is our target at the LiM - Lasers in Manufacturing 2013 (May 13-16, 2013, Munich).

The Lasers in Manufacturing (LiM) 2013 - organized by the German Scientific Laser Society (WLT) - is a scientific conference that focuses on the latest developments as well as future trends in the field of Laser Material Processing. Dealing with Process Engineering, System Technology and Process Optimisation, the LiM 2013 addresses anyone interested in the potential of lasers in theory and application.

With a focus on Green Production, priority topics of the LiM 2013 will include laser material processing in E-Mobility, laser CFRP & lightweight material processing, laser processes for a flexible automated mass production and additive laser manufacturing for lightweight applications, besides others.

As our conference is a part of the World of Photonics Congress (WoP) 2013 there are joint sessions coordinated in order to highlight topics at the interface of the thematic areas covered by the participating conferences.

All contributions for the LiM 2013 will undergo a review process by the Scientific Committee. This will increase and guarantee the quality of the papers and is a contribution to the scientific habits of all disciplines. Therefore the online publication of accepted contributions on Elsevier's Physics Procedia and their incorporation into Scopus will be of benefit for LiM authors.
It is the aim of LiM 2013 to bring together international experts from research and industry in order to match scientific advances and economic needs for mutual benefit. To facilitate industrial point of view presentations, application-oriented contributions do not have to run through the scientific review process and are published separately.

You are invited to join LiM 2013 and be a part of our international community via sharing ideas in inspiring talks and discussions.
