LBP Optics Ltd will be at Laser World of Photonics, Munich, 26 – 29 April 2022, showcasing its unique range of all-metal mirrors and optical components, alongside sister company ULO Optics.
LBP Optics will be exhibiting its range of mirrors for CO2 lasers, and many other applications, as demand continues to grow for these products. MD Paul Maclennan explains, “Our reflective metal optics are perfect for CO2 lasers, and as the market continues to grow we are seeing increased levels of interest in our high quality range of optics and specialist optical coatings. Our growing diamond machining facility has the capability to manufacture even the most challenging shapes and specifications.”
LBP Optics has been manufacturing laser mirrors for over 30 years in a wide range of shapes and sizes for many different applications. With coatings for CO2, fibre lasers and visible applications, the mirrors can be machined into complex shapes to ease alignment and mounting.
LBP Optics manufacture a wide range of mirrors including gold coated copper, aluminium, silicon, and stainless steel. All these materials have excellent broad reflectivity across the infrared, and are ideal for many applications. They are highly durable and resistant to harsh environments such as gas sensing and infrared counter measures (IRCM).
LBP Optics’ mirrors are manufactured using a unique chemical polishing technique that produces an unrivalled level of surface smoothness. With parts routinely made flat to 0.1um and smooth to Ra = 2 nm.
LBP Optics product range is suitable for demanding applications in research, defence, environmental monitoring, medical and dental lasers. Widely used with Er:YAG lasers, fibre lasers, Terahertz and QCL sources, high power pulsed and CW CO2 lasers (10.6 um and 9.3 um) for laser cutting, marking, and welding. Parts are regularly supplied for both low volume prototype and high volume production.
