AILU is supporting Dr Pasquale Franciosa, (Reader and Head of Laser Beam Welding Lab at WMG, the University of Warwick) with his survey asking whether laser beam shaping is a game changer in laser welding applications.

Dr Franciosa has prepared a 10-question survey which aims to highlight the challenges and opportunities currently faced by OEMs, SMEs, job shops and R&D institutions while developing laser welding processes. Results will be used to prioritise R&D efforts. The survey is fully anonymous, and results will be only used for research purpose and made available via the AILU network (https://www.ailu.org.uk/), communication channels and scientific publications.
