Lasermet has announced the launch of the DragonDoor, the next evolution in safety for modern medical facilities. Designed for three-fold protection against laser, X-ray, and fire, the DragonDoor represents a new benchmark in integrated safety design for medical environments.
The innovative DragonDoor system is engineered to deliver comprehensive, multihazard protection in a single, high-performance solution. It provides:
- Laser Safety Robust laser blocking material capable of containing direct and scattered laser radiation.
- X-Ray Shielding Built-in attenuation for facilities utilizing both laser and radiological equipment.
- Fire Resistance Independently tested and rated for up to two hours of fire protection, supporting hospital fire-zoning and emergency protocols.
DragonDoor is designed to integrate seamlessly with Lasermet’s interlock and safety control systems ensuring complete operational protection. When paired with Lasermet’s Interlock Control system, DragonDoor becomes part of a fully interlocked safety environment which can automatically prevent laser operation if the door is open or unsafe conditions are detected. Additionally, the door can be fitted with the Interlocked Caiman viewing windows, allowing safe visual supervision of laser procedures without compromising safety. The DragonDoor is built to match the technical and aesthetic requirements of medical environments, including:
