Ekspla boosts industrial laser capabilities with FemtoLux 50

Ekspla has introduced the FemtoLux 50, the latest in its series of industrial-grade femtosecond lasers. This new system builds upon the success of its predecessor, the award-winning FemtoLux 30, pushing the boundaries of power, versatility, and precision.

 

Power and precision for demanding applications

The FemtoLux 50 delivers an output power of 50 W at 1030 nm, providing exceptional performance for demanding micromachining processes. Combined with controllable pulse durations from sub-400 fs to 1 ps and repetition rates ranging from single-shot to 2 MHz, it offers wide versatility for the demanding requirements of industrial applications.

For even greater versatility, users can harness the full potential of the FemtoLux 50 through its advanced burst mode options, including MHz, GHz, and combined MHz+GHz configurations, along with true Pulse-on-Demand (PoD) capability. These features provide precise control over pulse timing and energy delivery, optimising laser-process parameters for efficient, high-quality machining at the workpiece.

 

Reliability redefined – FemtoLux with direct refrigerant cooling technology

The FemtoLux 50 stands alone in its power class with an innovative dry cooling system. By eliminating the need for traditional water-based cooling, this advancement addresses the common reliability issues associated with chiller systems while simplifying installation and reducing maintenance requirements. The system delivers outstanding performance, including power stability below 0.5% RMS over 100 hours and superior beam quality with M² < 1.2, ensuring consistent operation.

 

Complimentary wavelengths for added flexibility

To address diverse manufacturing requirements, the FemtoLux 50 can be equipped with an optional harmonics module, enabling operation at 515 nm (20 W, >50 µJ) and 343 nm (10 W, >25 µJ). These additional wavelengths expand the system’s capabilities, offering greater precision across a broader range of materials and applications.
