Nirvana Optical Solutions Ltd (NirOS) has announced a major expansion of its technical capabilities, headlined by the acquisition of the high-power CO₂ laser optics portfolio from ULO Optics.
This acquisition strengthens NirOS’s offering in the industrial laser sector, supporting high-power CO₂ systems used in cutting, welding, and advanced manufacturing processes.
To support this growth, the company has relocated to a new operations hub at PERA, Melton Mowbray.
Key strategic developments:
- ULO Optics portfolio: NirOS now owns and supplies the established high-power CO₂ laser optics range used in demanding industrial environments.
- Exclusive POG Präzisionsoptik Gera partnership: NirOS has been appointed the sole UK distributor for Precision Optics Gera – vastly improving UK access to precision-engineered optical components and further strengthening NirOS’ portfolio across UV, visible, and IR applications.
- High-speed IR systems: NirOS maintains its role as the UK partner for Telops, delivering world-class thermal and hyperspectral imaging solutions to the defence and aerospace sectors.
- Specialist IR consultancy: The firm continues to offer deep-level expertise in germanium and other IR materials through specialist consultant John Botfield.
